Opera Western Reserve is a growing opera company proudly presenting operas of the highest quality using many local artists as leading singers, orchestra members and directors. We are dedicated to educating our community on the vast learning experiences created through opera, the preservation of opera as a valuable art form and the collaboration of many art forms that opera demands. Through our outreach programs, area educators and students are invited to take a step behind the scenes and find out how an opera is created and performed.

The Young Artist Program holds main auditions each spring.  Supplemental auditions are held periodically, as needed.  If you’d like more information on the Young Artist Program auditions or Outreach opportunities, please email

Programs include: OWR’s annual children’s opera – a 40 minute production with costumes and set; Lunchtime Serenade – a flexible acapella presentation that highlights some of the most loved arias; a mini-mainstage production of our fall opera – performed at Stambaugh Auditorium on the morning of the fall opera, and more!  For more information, or to be added to our Educational E-mail announcement list, contact
